Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the setup and operation of the new home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted, The Children Act 1989, and Children's Homes Regulations.
- Deliver exceptional, child-focused care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being.
- Lead and mentor a team, providing training, performance reviews, and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Develop care plans and strategic initiatives to achieve outstanding outcomes for young people.
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and service development to ensure sustainability.
- Build strong relationships with external agencies to support safeguarding and care quality.
- Act as a positive role model, creating trusting relationships that drive recovery and growth.
About You
- Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar environment at a senior level.
- Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People's Workforce; achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People's Management).
- Strong knowledge of The Children Act 1989, Children's Homes Regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience with budgets and financial management.
- Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility for on-call duties.
- A committed leader passionate about achieving the best outcomes for children.
- Desirable:
- A track record of achieving high Ofsted ratings.
