Leader Recruitment Group is proud to collaborate with a committed provider to recruit an experienced Registered Manager to oversee two children's residential homes in Redbridge, specialising in supporting young people. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the operations of two children's homes, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
  • Lead and develop a dedicated team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care tailored to each child's needs.
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behavioural support strategies to promote positive outcomes.
  • Uphold robust safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including local authorities, health professionals, and Ofsted inspectors.
  • Efficiently manage budgets and resources to maintain effective home operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve and sustain high Ofsted ratings.
About You
  • Essential:
    • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
    • At least 2 years' experience in a residential children's home within the last 5 years.
    • Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or management role in a residential childcare setting.
    • Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted's Social Care Common Inspection Framework.
    • Experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
    • Ability to meet Ofsted's "fit person" requirements, demonstrating good character, competence, and financial standing.
    • Previous experience as a Registered Manager.
    • Proven success in achieving or maintaining positive Ofsted ratings.
    • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches and specialist interventions for children with learning disabilities.
    • Experience in setting up or developing a children's home.
