Key Responsibilities
- Manage the operations of two children's homes, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Lead and develop a dedicated team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care tailored to each child's needs.
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behavioural support strategies to promote positive outcomes.
- Uphold robust safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including local authorities, health professionals, and Ofsted inspectors.
- Efficiently manage budgets and resources to maintain effective home operations.
- Drive continuous improvement to achieve and sustain high Ofsted ratings.
About You
- Essential:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
- At least 2 years' experience in a residential children's home within the last 5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or management role in a residential childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted's Social Care Common Inspection Framework.
- Experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to meet Ofsted's "fit person" requirements, demonstrating good character, competence, and financial standing.
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager.
- Proven success in achieving or maintaining positive Ofsted ratings.
- Knowledge of therapeutic approaches and specialist interventions for children with learning disabilities.
- Experience in setting up or developing a children's home.
