Registered Manager - Children's Residential Care

Location: Pulborough
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + £5,000 Welcome Bonus + 21% Annual Bonus
Full-Time | Permanent

About the Role

A unique and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to take over the leadership of a high-performing, 5-bed residential home for young people aged 11-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This home, currently rated Outstanding by Ofsted, offers long-term placements and specialises in supporting young women with experiences of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the home, ensuring excellent standards of care and safeguarding are maintained

  • Support, develop, and supervise a committed team, including long-standing Deputy Managers

  • Create and implement individualised, therapeutic care plans tailored to each young person

  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, internal policies, and care standards

  • Promote a trauma-informed and nurturing environment for both young people and staff

  • Manage referrals, liaise with local authorities, and maintain robust stakeholder relationships

  • Monitor budgets and financial performance

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of services

Essential Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

  • Significant experience managing children's residential care services

  • Proven ability to maintain or improve Ofsted ratings

  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice

  • Confident leadership with excellent communication and team-building skills

  • Experience liaising with external professionals and regulatory bodies
