Registered Manager - Children's Residential Care
Location: Pulborough
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + £5,000 Welcome Bonus + 21% Annual Bonus
Full-Time | Permanent
About the Role
A unique and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to take over the leadership of a high-performing, 5-bed residential home for young people aged 11-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This home, currently rated Outstanding by Ofsted, offers long-term placements and specialises in supporting young women with experiences of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the daily operations of the home, ensuring excellent standards of care and safeguarding are maintained
Support, develop, and supervise a committed team, including long-standing Deputy Managers
Create and implement individualised, therapeutic care plans tailored to each young person
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, internal policies, and care standards
Promote a trauma-informed and nurturing environment for both young people and staff
Manage referrals, liaise with local authorities, and maintain robust stakeholder relationships
Monitor budgets and financial performance
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of services
Essential Requirements
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Significant experience managing children's residential care services
Proven ability to maintain or improve Ofsted ratings
Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice
Confident leadership with excellent communication and team-building skills
Experience liaising with external professionals and regulatory bodies
