Job Title: Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are working in partnership with a growing and values-led children's care provider to recruit an experienced and passionate Registered Manager for a newly registered 3-bed EBD residential home based in Nottingham.

This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape a brand-new therapeutic provision from the ground up, establishing the culture, building the team, and embedding high standards of care and compliance.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced Registered Managers and ambitious Deputy Managers ready to step up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Ofsted registration and ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards

  • Provide effective leadership to a team of up to 10 care staff (including Seniors and Support Workers)

  • Implement a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to care and behaviour support

  • Manage day-to-day operations including staffing, rotas, care planning, safeguarding, audits and budgets

  • Lead the home through Ofsted inspections, promoting a culture of continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with external professionals such as social workers, schools and health services

  • Report to the Responsible Individual and play an active role in developing the wider organisation

Requirements

Essential:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

  • At least 2 years' experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting

  • Strong understanding of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards

  • Experience supporting young people with EBD and challenging behaviours

  • Strong leadership, organisational and safeguarding skills

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience registering a new home or managing Ofsted inspections

  • Background in therapeutic or trauma-informed care

  • Familiarity with short-term/crisis and long-term placements

Working Pattern & Package

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (9am-5pm), with on-call duties

  • Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience

  • Performance bonuses:

    • £3,000 for Outstanding Ofsted rating

    • £1,500 for Good rating

    • £400/month for full occupancy
