Salary: From £30,500 per annum (including approx. £3,000 for sleep-ins)
Shift Pattern: Full-time | Long day shifts + sleep-ins | 2 on, 4 off
Sleep-in rate: £62.64 | Based on approx. 4 per month
Are you an experienced and compassionate children's support worker looking to step into a senior role where you can truly make a difference?
We're looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a nurturing and therapeutic family-style children's home in Cardiff, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You'll lead by example and help shape the lives of the children in your care, while supporting your team with confidence, care and resilience.
What You'll Need:
At least 12 months' experience in a children's residential home
A Level 3 or 4 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Understanding of therapeutic models and child-centred approaches
Resilience, patience and genuine passion for working with young people
A full UK driving licence

Your Role Will Include:
Acting as a positive role model to both staff and young people
Leading shifts and providing consistent, therapeutic care
Supporting children through behavioural and emotional challenges
Helping to implement and monitor care plans
Working closely with the Home Manager and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes
