Position: Registered Manager - Children's Home
Location: Sandwell
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are a specialist recruiter for children's residential providers and have partnered with a client who are a provider of high-quality residential care for children and young people in Sandwell. The Role:

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Ofsted-registered children's home, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of care staff, fostering a positive, supportive working environment.
  • Ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and welfare for our children and young people, tailoring support to meet individual needs.
  • Work closely with local authorities, health professionals, and other agencies to promote the best outcomes for the children in our care.
  • Manage budgets, implement policies, and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Be responsible for all statutory documentation, including incident reports, care plans, and regulatory notifications.
  • Prepare for and participate in Ofsted inspections, striving to maintain or achieve an 'Outstanding' rating.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Must hold or be working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a children's home, with a track record of managing Ofsted inspections.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Ofsted regulations and child protection procedures.
  • Personal Attributes: Compassionate, resilient, and committed to child-centered care.
