Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home
Location: Daventry
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (includes 1 sleep-in shift per week)
Are you an experienced and compassionate leader looking to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people? We are recruiting a Deputy Manager for a well-established 4-bed EBD children's home in Daventry.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Registered Manager in the daily running of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
Lead, mentor and develop a team of Residential Support Workers.
Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
Promote a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
Ensure the home maintains a child-centred, therapeutic approach at all times.
Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential.
Proven experience working in a children's residential setting, ideally at a Senior or Team Leader level.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Passionate about improving outcomes for young people in care.
Ability to work flexibly, including participation in a sleep-in rota (1 per week).
