Senior Support Worker - Children's Residential Home
Location: Daventry
Salary: £14.00 per hour + £50 per sleep-in
Hours: 40 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | 1 sleep-in per week | Overtime available

Are you an experienced care professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join a nurturing and structured children's residential home in Daventry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong care background to develop their leadership skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the daily running of the home alongside the management team

• Mentor and lead support staff to deliver high-quality care

• Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment

• Work in line with individual care plans and safeguarding procedures

• Ensure consistent implementation of routines, boundaries, and expectations

• Act as a positive role model for both staff and young people

Requirements:

• 1-2 years' experience in a care setting (children's residential experience preferred but not essential)

• Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed care

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and complete 1 sleep-in per week

• Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it preferred)
