What You'll Do
- Oversee the setup and registration of the new home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and regulations.
- Lead and inspire a team of 7-9 professionals, fostering a collaborative, trauma-informed culture focused on child-centred care.
- Develop and implement high-quality care plans, promoting the emotional, social, and behavioural well-being of up to 4 children.
- Act as a compassionate role model, building trust-based relationships to support children's growth and resilience.
- Manage budgets, rotas, and resources to ensure efficient and sustainable operations.
- Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and families to ensure seamless care delivery and transitions.
- Maintain rigorous safeguarding practices and drive the home towards 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.
- Work flexibly, including on-call duties and occasional sleep-ins as required.
Who We're Looking For
- Essential: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting, ideally with EBD experience.
- Essential: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Management) or equivalent.
- Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- In-depth knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding protocols, and The Children Act 1989.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing budgets, rotas, and teams.
- Passionate, proactive, and resilient, with a commitment to achieving exceptional outcomes for children.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to engage with children, staff, and external partners.
- Flexibility to undertake on-call duties and adapt to the needs of a new home.
