About the Opportunity
Leader Recruitment Group is delighted to partner with a children's home provider to recruit a passionate and experienced Children's Home Manager for a brand-new 2-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) service in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small, dedicated team in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for young people with EBD.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of support staff to deliver outstanding care.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the emotional, social, and developmental needs of young people.
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, social workers, and families.
  • Drive the home's registration process and maintain high standards to achieve an Outstanding Ofsted rating.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks effectively.
About You
  • Essential:
    • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting, ideally with EBD experience.
    • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
    • Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
    • A passion for improving outcomes for young people with complex needs.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in start-up or newly established children's homes.
    • Ability to manage challenging behaviours with a trauma-informed approach.
