Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home
Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Bonus: £5,000 welcome bonus + up to 21% performance-based annual bonus
Contract Type: Full time, permanent
Driving Licence: Full UK licence - essential

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a well-established children's residential home in the Wisbech area. The home is Ofsted-rated "Good" and registered for up to 6 children, supported by two experienced Deputy Managers already in post.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the children's home, ensuring outstanding standards of care and compliance with relevant legislation and guidance

  • Lead and support a multi-disciplinary team, promoting a culture of safeguarding, therapeutic care, and professional development

  • Be accountable for performance management, supervision, and training of staff to QCF Level 3 and above

  • Deliver service improvements and meet key performance and budgetary targets

  • Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and act as a positive role model

  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for young people

  • Ensure the home remains compliant with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior role within a children's residential care setting

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People's Workforce

  • Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare

  • Strong working knowledge of the Children Act 1989, safeguarding protocols, and Ofsted regulations

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach

  • Experience in budgeting and managing financial performance

  • Flexible approach to working hours, including on-call responsibilities

  • Full UK driving licence is essential
