Key Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager in running a nurturing, Ofsted-compliant children's home.
- Lead and mentor a team of support workers, fostering their growth and maintaining high care standards.
- Act as a role model for both staff and young people, promoting a positive and therapeutic environment.
- Assist with rotas, budgets, audits, and care planning to ensure smooth operations.
- Build trusting relationships with young people to help them feel safe, valued, and empowered.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and Ofsted regulations are consistently met.
About You
- Essential:
- At least 3 years' experience in a children's residential home setting.
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of Ofsted legislation, safeguarding, and EBD care.
- Experience managing budgets and rotas.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- A caring, resilient, and inspiring leader with excellent communication skills.
- Desirable:
- Previous experience in a deputy or supervisory role.
- Passion for mentoring staff and driving quality care.
