About the Opportunity

These centres deliver transformative 12-week activity and intervention programmes for young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Service Manager in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care through outdoor and activity-based interventions.
- Lead and mentor a team of support workers, fostering a positive, engaging environment for staff and young people.
- Facilitate adventurous activities (e.g., paddle boarding, hill walking, bouldering) to build trust, confidence, and positive relationships.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of young people during short-term 2:1 activity placements across the region and North Wales national parks.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans to support recovery, growth, and lasting change.
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted standards, safeguarding policies, and activity safety regulations.
- Act as a positive role model, creating a nurturing and empowering atmosphere for young people.
About You
- Essential:
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 or above in Residential Childcare (Health and Social Care qualifications not accepted).
- At least 1 year's experience at a senior level in a residential childcare setting.
- Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle.
- A caring, resilient, and flexible approach with a passion for supporting young people.
- Enthusiasm for outdoor activities and therapeutic interventions.
- Experience leading or facilitating outdoor/adventure-based activities.
- Knowledge of supporting young people with social, emotional, or mental health challenges.
