Position: Registered Manager
Location: Hayling Island, Hampshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Bonuses: £5,000 Welcome Bonus + 21% Annual Bonus
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home in Hayling Island, overseeing its operations and delivering exceptional care to young people. As the Registered Manager, you will ensure outstanding care standards, drive service development, and foster a nurturing environment to achieve the best outcomes for every child.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality care within the home, ensuring outstanding progress and outcomes for children.
  • Oversee all aspects of the home's operations, including strategic planning, service development, and day-to-day management.
  • Lead a team of professionals to provide therapeutic care and support tailored to each child's needs, fostering recovery, growth, and lasting change.
  • Act as a positive role model for colleagues and children, building trusting relationships to meet their everyday living needs.
  • Mentor staff, organise work patterns, facilitate QCF Level 3 training, and conduct performance reviews and appraisals.
  • Manage budgets and financial performance to ensure the home operates efficiently.
  • Ensure robust safeguarding practices and compliance with legislation, including The Children Act 1989 and Children's Homes Regulations.
  • Promote the protection, well-being, and development of children and young people.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar environment at a senior level.
  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce.
  • Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Management).
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including The Children Act 1989, Children's Homes Regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Proven experience in budget management and financial oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve the best outcomes for children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with children, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work on-call duties as required.
