Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, therapeutic care to young people, supporting their emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
- Lead and mentor a team of support workers, promoting best practices and a positive care environment.
- Build trusting relationships with children to help them understand their past, live in the present, and embrace a brighter future.
- Support young people during daily activities, excursions, and residential settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures in line with Ofsted standards.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating resilience, empathy, and teamwork in challenging situations.
About You
- Essential:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Proven experience supporting children and young people, ideally in a residential or EBD setting.
- Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to challenging situations.
- Willingness to work sleep-ins and flexible shifts.
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
- Motivated, resilient, and passionate about improving outcomes for young people.
- Desirable:
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and therapeutic care approaches.
