Position: Deputy Manager
Location: Thatcham
Salary: £33,600- £34,800 per annum + £3,250 - £6,500 per annum for sleep-ins (approx. 4-8 sleep-ins per month)
Hours: Full-Time, 39 hours per week

Full UK Driving Licence Required

What You'll Do
  • Partner with the Registered Manager to oversee daily operations, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that meets Ofsted requirements.
  • Inspire and mentor a team of care professionals, fostering a collaborative and uplifting environment.
  • Act as a beacon of positivity, building strong relationships with children and staff to support growth and resilience.
  • Handle rotas, budgets, and resources to keep the home running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Cultivate a warm, empowering atmosphere where young people feel secure, valued, and motivated.
  • Uphold rigorous safeguarding standards and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Who We're Looking For
  • Essential: At least 3 years' experience in a residential children's home setting.
  • Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People.
  • Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Deep understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding protocols, and children's residential care practices.
  • Proven skills in managing budgets and rotas with precision.
  • Charismatic leader with excellent communication and a knack for mentoring others.
  • Resilient and empathetic, with a passion for supporting children with emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Ready to work shifts and take on sleep-in duties as needed.
