Position: Registered Manager
Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Bonuses: £5,000 Welcome Bonus + 21% Annual Bonus
Annual Leave: 32 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays)

About the Opportunity
Leader Recruitment Group, a specialist agency with extensive expertise in recruiting for children's residential homes, is proud to represent our client in their search for a talented and dedicated Registered Manager. This role is based at a well-regarded, Ofsted-rated "Good" children's home in Wisbech, registered for up to 6 children. Supported by two highly experienced Deputy Managers, you will lead a committed team to deliver outstanding care, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being for every child. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring children's progress is outstanding and the home maintains or exceeds its "Good" Ofsted rating.
  • Manage all aspects of the home's operations, including strategic planning, service development, and day-to-day management.
  • Lead a team of professionals, including two experienced Deputy Managers, to provide therapeutic care tailored to each child's needs, fostering recovery, growth, and positive outcomes.
  • Act as a positive role model for staff and children, building trusting relationships to meet everyday living needs.
  • Mentor staff, organise work patterns, facilitate QCF Level 3 training, and conduct performance reviews and appraisals.
  • Manage budgets and financial performance to ensure efficient operation of the home.
  • Ensure robust safeguarding practices and compliance with legislation, including The Children Act 1989 and Children's Homes Regulations.
  • Promote the protection, well-being, and development of children and young people.
Candidate Requirements
  • Essential: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar environment at a senior level.
  • Essential: Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce.
  • Essential: Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Management).
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including The Children Act 1989, Children's Homes Regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Proven experience in budget and financial management.
  • Highly driven, proactive, and enthusiastic leader with a hands-on approach to people management.
  • Fully committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.
  • Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Flexibility to undertake on-call duties as required.
