Position: Registered Manager
Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Bonuses: £5,000 Welcome Bonus + 21% Annual Bonus
Annual Leave: 32 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays)

This role is based at a well-regarded, Ofsted-rated "Good" children's home in Wisbech, registered for up to 6 children. Supported by two highly experienced Deputy Managers, you will lead a committed team to deliver outstanding care, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being for every child. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring children's progress is outstanding and the home maintains or exceeds its "Good" Ofsted rating.
- Manage all aspects of the home's operations, including strategic planning, service development, and day-to-day management.
- Lead a team of professionals, including two experienced Deputy Managers, to provide therapeutic care tailored to each child's needs, fostering recovery, growth, and positive outcomes.
- Act as a positive role model for staff and children, building trusting relationships to meet everyday living needs.
- Mentor staff, organise work patterns, facilitate QCF Level 3 training, and conduct performance reviews and appraisals.
- Manage budgets and financial performance to ensure efficient operation of the home.
- Ensure robust safeguarding practices and compliance with legislation, including The Children Act 1989 and Children's Homes Regulations.
- Promote the protection, well-being, and development of children and young people.
Candidate Requirements
- Essential: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar environment at a senior level.
- Essential: Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce.
- Essential: Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Management).
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including The Children Act 1989, Children's Homes Regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
- Proven experience in budget and financial management.
- Highly driven, proactive, and enthusiastic leader with a hands-on approach to people management.
- Fully committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.
- Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Flexibility to undertake on-call duties as required.
