Job description

Registered Manager - Children's Home (EBD) - Cannock
Salary: £55,000+ per annum (DOE)
Full-Time | Permanent

We are working on behalf of a dedicated provider in the process of opening their first children's home in Cannock. This newly developed 3-bed service will support children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), with a clear vision focused on therapeutic care, education, and long-term positive outcomes for young people.

The founder of the organisation has an extensive background working with childrenand working directly with Looked After Children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the registration process with Ofsted and oversee the setup of the home.

  • Recruit, manage, and develop a new staff team, embedding a positive and nurturing culture.

  • Ensure the home operates in full compliance with relevant legislation and Ofsted regulations.

  • Provide outstanding leadership and care that promotes the welfare, development, and safety of children.

  • Establish robust policies, procedures, and quality assurance frameworks in line with best practice.

  • Work closely with local authorities, stakeholders, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for young people.

About You:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).

  • Prior experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential care setting.

  • Strong knowledge of EBD and trauma-informed approaches.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop services, and maintain regulatory standards.

  • Passionate about providing high-quality care and committed to making a lasting difference.
