About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a 2-bed children's home in Milton Keynes, specialising in supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, maintain compliance with Ofsted standards, and lead a committed team to deliver exceptional care.

As the Registered Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, maintain compliance with Ofsted standards, and lead a committed team to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and operation of a 2-bed children's home, ensuring high-quality care for young people with EBD.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and all relevant legislation.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans, promoting the emotional, physical, and social well-being of residents.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing rotas to ensure efficient operation of the home.
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, social workers, and families.
- Drive continuous improvement in care standards, ensuring the home meets or exceeds regulatory expectations.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for inspections and audits.
Candidate Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager in a children's residential setting, ideally with EBD experience.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and children's residential care standards.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and support staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with young people and stakeholders.
- A compassionate, resilient, and solution-focused approach to working with vulnerable children.
- Ability to manage challenging situations and maintain a calm, professional demeanour.
