Children's Home Manager - EBD
Location: Manchester
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Are you an experienced Children's Home Manager looking for your next challenge? Do you have a strong track record of delivering high-quality care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)? If so, this opportunity could be ideal for you.

We are seeking a passionate and driven Registered Manager to take the lead in a children's residential home in the Manchester area. This is a rewarding role where you will have the autonomy to shape the culture, build a strong team, and make a genuine impact on the lives of vulnerable young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring it meets all regulatory and legislative requirements.

• Lead a team of residential staff, providing clear guidance, development opportunities, and support.

• Create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people aged 8-17 with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

• Ensure the home is always prepared for Ofsted inspections, with the goal of achieving "Good" or "Outstanding" ratings.

• Work collaboratively with social workers, education professionals, and other external stakeholders.

• Monitor and improve care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding, and incident management.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or strong Deputy Manager in a children's residential EBD setting.

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

• In-depth understanding of Ofsted frameworks, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.

• Ability to lead from the front with a strong commitment to trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.

• Full UK Driving Licence.
