Deputy Manager - Children's Home
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £32,000 per annum + £60 per sleep-in
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, shift-based including sleep-ins
We are supporting a reputable children's residential care provider in the recruitment of a Deputy Manager for their new 3-bed home in Nottingham. This provision supports children and young people aged 8-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), offering both long-term and emergency placements.
The organisation operates with a therapeutic approach and is committed to delivering high-quality, child-centred care. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior or Team Leader looking to progress into a Deputy Manager position within an Ofsted-regulated setting.
About the Home:

Reporting into a Registered Manager and Responsible Individual
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
Support the development, supervision and performance of the staff team
Lead shifts and contribute to the rota, including two sleep-ins per week
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people
Participate in on-call duties as required
Essential Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Essential
Working towards or willing to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare - Desirable
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a children's residential care setting
Previous leadership or supervisory experience (e.g. Senior, Team Leader)
Sound understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory compliance
A commitment to trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to care
Must hold a full UK driving licence
Additional Details:
2 sleep-ins per week (£60 per sleep)

Enhanced DBS required (new DBS can be processed if not on the Update Service)
